These principles may seem common-sense to some, and like foreign concepts to others, but one thing we reinforce is this:We don’t accept anything less than this from our Patronship, and we don’t accept Prospective Patrons who aren't fully aware that this is what we embody as the ethos and culture of our group--and know that we will expect the same from them as soon as they step into the door.

    Membership & Vetting

    SKS maintains a multi-phase vetting process to ensure alignment.1. Pre-Vetting Form
    Introductions & interest. We assess alignment, which begins on our Discord server, before proceeding.    2. Vetting Munch
    Invite-only, in refined venues like speakeasies and hidden lounges. Platonic, intimate, no-pressure.    3. Consent Orientation & Codex
    Every prospective Patron must complete SKS’s Consent Orientation, a structured course rooted in trauma-aware, neuro-affirming, kink-positive frameworks. Completion of the course is followed by signing the Consent Codex, our living agreement of ethics, culture, and standards. This signifies your commitment to uphold SKS's consent-driven culture.    4. Provisional Event
    Your first party--a social chemistry trial period. Gold wristbands during the party will designate this status. The Patrons that attend the party with you, as well as the entire Patronship as a whole, vote for your permanence the week after this Party.    5. Full Patronship
    Unlocked after successful participation of a Provisional Party Event and a 75% community vote-in. Ongoing engagement within the community is required to maintain Patronship.    Membership is not automatic. It’s a process--and we need it to be that way for the safety, experience and continued thriving of our community.

    If you’ve been invited to begin pre-vetting, use our link to Discord to join our Discord server and start the Vetting process. Not everyone makes it through, though--and that’s by design.If you haven't been referred to our server, chances are, we won't recognized your Fetlife name, or username in general, and reject your join request. If we are unsure, we will pull you into an interview with members of leadership and those you claim have referred you to make sure.These are just a few ways to make sure our space maintains the high standards we seek for the community we want to maintain.
